Ellz’s LsFd build

So today I got to drive my dream for the first time
Spent the morning extending the tie rods and adding a steam vent to the header tank

Drove up and down the farm that my workshop is on, over the moon that it actually works

No maf on currently so it doesn’t like revving over 3k ish but it really has some torque down low

Also had it cut out because in my wisdom I put a 5amp fuse in for the coil packs and it blew

Still loads to do but the main milestone has been reached :)

So today was full of wins and losses

Got my rev counter working 🤙🏻
The Ls1 ecu outputs a half signal like a 4 cyl engine so it was a case of splicing into the old tacho input and it worked

Speedo however doesn’t work with my gos sender :(

Can your gps sender output a calibration signal and/ or select the type of waveform to output?

So haven’t really been spending much time with the Rx7 recently been busy with other things but have done a couple of bits
Started on a battery box
Started on the intake
And got hold of a obd2 WiFi dongle to see coolant temp in the meantime while I find a 13b coolant temp sender using dash command

Oh and the radiator cap has warped and weaps when the systems pressurised so that’ll be chopped off and replaced soon

Finished the intake today, pie cut aluminium is a right pain to weld but got there in the end and didn’t melt my nice filter
Put some of the dash trims back in and a seat today
Waiting on some sensors to get the car running right

Pulled her out tonight for a little drive up the farm my units on
Now most of the interiors in its a lot less rattly just waiting on some sensors before I can let her rip
Also bought a yellow Honda jazz

Done some bits today sorted out mounting for the air filter and tidied up some other bits
Got an intake air temp sensor sent over from USA and got the car running out of speed density only mode so now with the maf and intake air temp the car runs as it should

Thing is an animal from what I can tell from a couple of pulls

Still bits to do but happy with it

Looking good, putting in some serious shifts!
You'll probably want to swap one of those reverse lights for a rear fog bulb.
