Briggsy's TCP Magic Track Project

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. I'm away with work in Norway at the moment but will try and find out and put it in here.
coolio...i hope they haven't used a polyurethane sealer ...A 2 part panel bond sealer is need to stop it cracking in the future...

I'm pretty sure it will be a two part sealer as he has his own wide body RX7 that has been done for years with no cracking and has done a lot of other cars with wide body's. I hope so anyway 😂

Some more updates and the car is very much taking shape now!!

Excuse the shopping trolley wheels in the wheel arches 😂 they will be getting swapped over with ones that actually fit and suit the kit.

So here she is, unfortunately this will be how it stays for a little while, as Dip Demons is closing at the end of this month and I'll be going away with work for almost the rest of the year 😔

A positive is that when I'm away, I'll hopefully have chance to buy every single seal and weather strip brand new, so they are immaculate and start collecting some other bits, ready for the new year when I get the AST cage welded in, the Radium fuel cell mounted in the boot and get my respray in Aston Martin Sunburst Yellow.

I may even try and get the extra TCP carbon pieces too, so I have a stock pile of parts so when I am back, it should be all systems go.

Nooooo! Now I have to wait a whole year 😂😂

On a serious note, good things come to those who wait. Sounds like you have a plan.

Sorry 😂😂 I'm not happy about it either! But fingers crossed 2023 will have lots of progress!

Yeah, I'll use the time I am away to start getting everything in place, ready, so it should mean things can happen quickly when I'm back.

Collected the car yesterday and to see it in person was amazing, albeit slightly disappointing that it isn't all resprayed in yellow.

Got so many looks driving back to Surrey from collecting it and even a few compliments when I was refueling the transporter.
And finally, it is tucked up in its new home for the foreseeable.

Finally back in the UK after 6 months away, however I am now even more desperate to get some decent progress done to this!

Here are a few random ones I got of it before I left

Here are some flat carbon doorcards I managed to get before I left, but forgot to upload them. These should compliment the AST Roll cage pretty well and match the abundance of carbon I already have.

And finally, I have bought the radium fuel cell cage to accommodate my fuel cell, so I believe I am ready to get it booked in to a garage (any recommendations welcome for a decent fabrication/welding shop) to get this and the cage welded in.

Finally got the car over to the Fabrication shop to get my AST roll cage installed and mount the fuel cell flush in to the flat floor in the boot.
He is also going to have a look at clearance for me once the cage is installed to ensure I can comfortably be seated with a helmet, if not, some changes to seat position will be happening too.

Bumped in to MonkyLondon whilst there too getting some work done on one of his cars for a 2000 mile challenge he is doing soon. Was pretty cool to meet him, and have him pretty excited by my project and get video'd etc 😂

This is Sam's car, a proper epic build and is going to be crazy when it's actually finished!

This should be the start of some steady progress now, as I have changed jobs so should have more time/money and will be living local to where the car is stored.
