Two more bits of the puzzle have just arrived. Been a productive day of deliverys considering I wasn't expecting anything lol.

Injectors wise im thinking 1050 and 1700? Anyone recommend good fuel rails and pump?
 
Dm are good for fuelling requirements. Standards primaries with 1600 secondary will be fine and keep a a nice idle.
 
Depends on your power goals. I made 500 with 850 and 1680.

I've got a bosch 044 for sale if interested and also said fuel system
 
I'd replace all the injectors. I wouldn't use the 1600 buckets and the stock primaries are 20 years old now.

Fueling is vital so chuck plenty of money at it.

One thing I found is that on DM primary rail doesn't fit great you have to mill a couple of mm off the legs cos they didn't stick a deep enough injector seat on the rail it's very shallow.

On the Dyno my primary injectors "fell out" under pressure and we had to then modify the rail brackets. I was pretty pissed off but happy that the car didn't go up in flames and it did it on the Dyno and not on the road.

Holy shit!!! That's not good.

I used their secondary rail with the new type 1650s. Had no problems

I also have the dm secondary rail. No fuel suddenly came pissing out of them thank god. I just can't see why they wouldnt make the seats about 2mm longer.

But yea I'm a big fan of the injector dynamics. Theres no jerky shit and strange idle characteristics. I am only at like 50-60% duty and I run 16psi.

You even get the dead times with them your tuner will thank you.

I was at wgt and watching in that corridor while he was doing a map. All of a sudden the engine changed note and even pip thought for a second that it had blown to pieces.

But there was petrol EVERYWHERE. It's kind of a miracle there wasn't a fire.

My arse was twitching like a rabbits nose.

Hmmm. I'm going to have to check mine now as I have dm primary rail. I have had the fuel system up to pressure and no leaks.
 
I did 1000 miles with no leaks. It's when the engine is hot and there's massive constant pressure. The injectors moved 1mm downward which was enough to cause a massive burst of fuel to come out between the rubber washer and the fuel rail.

I use 1050x on the primary (also from Dm)

Here's pip milling a couple of mm off.

Fuelling is basically the last thing I need to sort out need injectors rail/rails and pump. Also need a downpipe and a new backbox as I've just realised mine sizes down in the rear can to 2.75 which is annoying but it's brand new exhaust in immaculate condition so hoping to get a bit back on it. Bar a few little odds and ends like hoses, gaskets and lines etc im good to go. Arranged for a v mount kit to be made up earlier and just received my manifold and actuator bracket from the states.
