Can someone tell me what rpm's they do the static test on please.

Normally 3/4 of max rpm if they happen to notice you're in a rotary. If not then often 4,500rpm.

3/4 of redline rpm usualy 5700 in an fd, 3k if you have a nurspec ?

Yeah, even though I tell them the redline is 7,500 RPM they always make me do 6,000 RPM because they see 9,000 RPM on the tach.

What sort of readings are you getting at 6k

About 95-96 dB. My car is quiet for a full exhaust system. Just as I like it. Civilized on the road but loud enough to hear the rotary rasp when on it.

Yep mine is usually around 96-98 on the static. Open wastegate now though so will have to test out the drive bys. Croft is fine as my nurspec passed a full day. Also cadwell and oulton only have static testing iirc.

A usual jdm exhaust ( hks, kakimoto,blitz, apexi,etc etc )with a decat will struggle to pass the static ime.

Thats a bit of a worry as my Boxster was 98db at 5250 rpm and the 7 sounds a bit louder than that did, I will find out tomorrow.
