F100 CPU#2 repair

What was the fault you noted with the module? I haven't tested the separate flasher PCB yet (a very simple circuit), but the main PCB seems to function OK. I will re-make the PCB track repair though, as that is a bit dodgy.

Many thanks for the F100 loan, it has been invaluable 👍

What fault symptom did you note with it? It appears to function fine. I've not tested the separate flasher PCB, but that circuit is simple.

Many thanks again for the F100 loan. I could not have got this far without it 👍

To be honest I can't remember exactly what was wrong but I was trying to chase a battery drain and I knew this was dodgy but somewhat worked so was trying to rule out this as an issue. The story goes, when I had the car, you could open and close the windows without the key in the ignition, so I narrowed it down to this and found a broken track and also a questionable repair to one or two of the components solder joints. Anyway I repaired the track quickly just to see if this was the issue and it seemed to fix the window problem but I still had a battery drain somewhere so I just wanted to eliminate this as a suspect as I knew it still wasn't 100%

OK, thanks Dan. I'd like to hang on to it until I've had a couple in for repair, if that's OK, just to compare the function of yours against another couple of modules, to ensure I've not missed anything.

The F100 tester will be completed by the end of next week, after I complete some decorating for my son 🦸‍♂️. It's all wired up and tested, after positioning everything to fit into a suitable box. I just have some physical bits to complete to secure everything inside, plus some labelling, and it's done.

If anyone would like to send me a module to fix soon, let me know.........

That's absolutely fine, I've got the car off the road for a bit anyway whilst I make some changes to it so I'm not desperate to have it back.
