Yeah ive torn down quiet a few engines with similar incidents yours is by far the best/luckiest ive seen! Yeah i've never seen a engine look in as good a condition.

Yeah same i forgot too. Tuning went well, it only used about 1 &1/4 tanks on the return drive compared to the 2 & 1/2 on the way there lol. just goes to show how much fulled was pulled out off it!! yeah ive got to say im allmost enjoying driving it again now, but in true rx7 fashion its shit its self in other ways now all the suspension's shagged out

There is always something with these cars! It's part of the fun, keeps you on your toes and keeps your wallet empty.

Engine is rebuilt and back in the car, thanks @karl_tate for helping with the install it would be a massive twat to do alone. It all just needs plumbing in and connecting up etc for its 1st start.

Also ordered 6 pillowballs and covers to go with my superpro bush kit so now have everything needed for a full suspension refresh over winter.

Also sourced a feed intake elbow it needed abit of a clean from water damage lol. I did a terrible job spraying it "TSW" silver" according to @Jit who was delighted with the finish and colour choice so will probably need to do that again but will do other bits to over winter to like UIM/LIM etc.

It's not mapped and I've only done 60 miles lol. Seeming good sound far although extremely loud! Does sound awesome though but I wouldn't say it's for everyone to be honest. My neighbour's dont seem to be big fans of it haha.

Haha, it sounds like just what I am after. Stu is doing my car over the next few months and we have agreed on a half bridge. What ECU are you running?

Not updated this in ages. Had a issue with the car not making any power on the dyno which turned out to be a sticking wastegate and a few other small leaks discovered by stu and jay. I left the car with them after it played up on dyno and got a lift home with @Robbo80 as I couldn't be arsed to deal with it myself lol.
Engine has still done very few miles so only tuned very conservatively to 1bar and a 7200rpm rev limit making 440hp. Also my exhaust is now a restriction as the bridgeport wants to breathe lol. Going to fabricate a exhaust at some point 3.5" turbo back then in the new year up the boost to 1.4 bar and a 9000rpm rev limit once I have a few more miles on the engine. All the ID I injectors etc are also now fitted and my FEED elbow for maximum jdm points. Just need to fit the black silicone to replace the ford focus blue lol. Car is pretty much finished and how I want it just the exhaust and map to do and also fit all my poly bushes and pillowballs that I have been putting off for months and also paint the light cover that removed itself from the vehicle at the national speed limit.

Also bought a new daily driver for anyone that might care(unlikely)

RX7 wise, I'd been warned about the spring's sticking and generally not loving life on the EFR turbos and TS wastegates from when I had a chat to Stu ages ago now, so glad to hear you got it sorted dude, how does it feel at only a bar? Quick enough I'd imagine?

The jacket you've got on the turbo, where did you get that from, tempted by the inconel stuff from turbosource but it's hella expensive...

M3 is awesome daily barge man. Fd feels pretty quick yeah cant wait to get some proper boost and timing into it though. I must say Jay is a magician the driveability is like stock can potter around at 1200rpm no bucking or fuck all which for a bridge is impressive.

Turbo blanket is funk motorsport but I had to modify it a bit to make it fit right. @JoeLanger wasn't happy with it and purchased one from elsewhere I believe fits nicer maybe be will chime in and say what brand. The Inconel stuff is proper porn but as you say damn pricey to.

for the internal gate I bought one of these

guy at funk was like "just cut it man" and I was like will you honour the warranty after I've cut your £200 jacket. man.

Thanks mate, yeah exhaust is next job on list but will probably wait till it gets warmer in spring. The m3 is sakhir orange it's a strange colour it's like 8 colours in one, different angles and light alter it massively. Sometimes its basically red and others dark orange and everything in between lol.

Few updates.

Finally presssed and fitted my spare rear suspension arms and ARB. 6 new pillow balls and and superpro bushes apart from the camber bush which they don't make so that is powerflex. Just need to fit fronts and get an alignment.

Also decided to treat myself to a new turbo as the 8374 is a low/mid range turbo and runs out of puff abit at 7k. My intention is to rev this to 9k or until it stop making power.

That’s a beastly turbo, I’m hoping to be revving as high as 9k when mine is run in and mapped.

I couldn’t resist, started buying some carbon bits for the M3 today.
