Lmfao yeah no denying that picture makes it look like Ray Charles and Steve wonder tag teamed it :LOL::LOL: The welds are decent just got alot of colour in them. Welds are the first thing I always check having originally served my time as a welder lol.

Lmao agreed I assure you there is no holes. No idea how I took such a bad photo but I don't want to damage a companys reputation because if my inability to take a photo lol. Trust me mate I'd be fuming if it arrived with a inch hole in it lol.

Hahaha. I'm sure if I took my picture from the same distance mine would actually look better lol

It almost looks like there is a crack where the flexi pipe is welded??
Haha or buy a potato like me and all your welds look perfect 😂
It's the shadows that make it look like gaps 👍 I'm just jealous that I'm a shit welder that's all 😂

Made a arm for the air filter which isn't how i would of chosen to have it but space restriction left me no choice. Also fitted the hood pins which wasn't particularly fun but necessary as ever since going v mount the amount of air flow through the bay started lifting the corners of the bonnet at speed lol.

Just about finished off all the little bits now just need to get a alignment and put on 1 last bit of fire sleeve and jubilee clip over the water pipe closest to the exhaust housing. Then fit the link, map sensor, mac 4 port and new lc2 wideband. Also just waiting on 1 more silicone pipe and will fit them to get rid of the blue for good. Will get a greddy elbow and some ally tube at some point to remove that unnecessary bend in the IC piping and allow me to set the filter at a more symmetrical angle.

Hopefully mapping next week:sneaky:

Looks awesome rob! The bonnet pins look annoying to fit 🤣😂

Not long then till it’s mapping time!

It's not that's it a hard job, just never really nice taking a drill to your bonnet lol. It was made more difficult than it should of been by the fact i think the drill i was using must of come from mother care. Got more torque in my left knacker.

Great looking car and going to be even more of a weapon than it already was. Not sure I could live with those screamers though.

I dont' know if i can yet haha. I'll need to DB test it properly, if its going to effect getting on track they will have to be plumbed back in.

Guessing it would have more of an effect on a drive-by so harder to test. Also depends how loud your exhaust system is normally :p

I started with a straight pipe centre when I bought the car. All the money I've spent on quieter exhaust system parts has been well spent!

Just dont let them open where they test for sound.. will be fine.

Who is going to map it

Yeah true, my inner lout is kinda looking forward to the howl lol.

Think Pip is gonna map it mate.

Its fairly loud lol got the none silenced mid pipe in lol. Using a cheap hand held DB reader its 91 cold idle and 89 warm from about a meter.

Mine is 105 on the croft static test at 6krpm with nothing silenced and the same rb single tail for reference.
