Made up a gearbox mount today, I’ll add some gussets and tidy it up tomorrow but happy to have it mounted also checked the engine alignment to the diff
I was worried that it would be way off but it was fine

Next thing is to make a subframe to mount the steering rack

Painted the rocker covers today to tidy the engine up a bit

Truck bed liner paint for the wrinkle effect as my patience doesn’t stretch to painting things smooth

Started on the front subframe
I’m using the Mazda chassis mounts to keep the eccentric camber adjustment and to save time
I boxed them off with 6mm plate to add a bit of strength both rears are done for now
Once I box off the front two mounts I’ll join it all together with cds tubing and re mount the steering rack (which is going to be a nightmare)

Also treated myself to a fancy new welding helmet

Ill need to do somthing similar with mine to end up with. Ill just use bits of chewing gum, carboard, A Single left testicle from an albino rabit, A homless mans holey sock, some plastick and a happpyy fucking neww year guys xxxx

The only issue for @Spendyrx is when he gets his New Years reach around he likes to look a man in the eyes...

So this welding helmet simply won’t do

Re enforced the gearbox mount t and boxed it in where possible
Made a start on the front subframe mounts plating them with 6mm steel
Plan is to run a cds pipe to link the front mounts and two more to join the rears
Then mount the steering rack off the front bar
From the looks of the test fit I’m going to have to space out the anti roll bars as they’re going to be to close to each other and extend the steering linkage from the rack

The car was accepted to players classic paddock today so I have a nice date to work towards having it finished!

I’m off to Scunthorpe tomorrow with work for 4 days so spent a hour or so tidying up, took the old girl off the axle stands to measure track rod clearances
She’s a pretty girl
