I'm in the market for a new catback exhaust. What are people running? Pictures and specs would be ideal! I need a full 3" all the way thru.

Would like to see some good angels of the TGS dolphin.

Cheers

Here the list of my setup:

3" HKS Downpipe
3" Small Silenced Midpipe (unknown make but really well made)
3" Kakimoto Exhaust

Pictures below, don't have one of the downpipe

I have a TGS Dolphin. Don't have time to trawl through my photo albums now but various pics and videos on my thread (including flames).

I have a Racing Beat single, 3"pipe, smaller understated outlet and pretty quiet. Probably the best made exhaust I've ever seen.

£500 delivered from mrp.

Had a blitz nurspec R before this. Beautiful sound but oh what a sound!!!

I have a 3.5” TGS exhaust with dolphin tailpipe!

Think I fancy a tail pipe how Eric /grandmighty has his but scared of the rear bumper melting 🤣

I'm considering the nur spec r as I do like noise. But then I also want to get on track lol

Unfortunately you can't have both, I scrape on at croft at 105db days with a single. Was way under at 98db on twins

You could use one of the active valve things and close it for testing. My bung blew out with the nurspec and I still didn't get flagged surprisingly.

Does the racing beat flow well?
seems to Rob, I didnt notice any ill effects moving frpm the nurspec to the RB when on twins and still it pushed boost just the same. I think any restrictions would have shown more when boosting twins due to their already limited efficiency. Now on single it works just fine, I like it!

I like the look of both racing beat and legalis. Would be a difficult choice. Is legalis 3" right thru?

The Legalis R is 3" until the muffler whereby it reduces to about 2.75-2.8". It's a large muffler as well so it's quiet and it didn't stop me from making good power. It's technically a straighter flowing design than the Racing Beat as well.

Have no idea what exhaust mine is? (looks quite similar to @cib24), looks good quality, sounds pretty good and quiet enough for all uk tracks at 98db

I've got my heart set on 3" right thru my current exhaust sizes down in the back box hence why i want to change.

@Cullen94 what defuser is that? Looks awesome (y)

Rb is 3" all the way through but just to note your car will be louder with the single. I was 96-98db on the sound test at croft on twins. Everything equal from the dp back in now borderline on the 105db test.

A midpipe would fix this but I like my straight 3" decat.

So just to clarify you run a down pipe unsilenced midpipe and rb catback and still make it on croft? As I obviously want to get on croft and I already have 2 out of 3 of those items lol.

Yep, I do and thats with an open screamer, not by much though. I'm currently getting it plumbed back in but that doesn't affect the static test anyway.
