Wallpaper packs to raise money for the forum

Just an idea to raise some money for the site / “continuous site income” but could we get loads of photos together (hi res) and turn them into wallpapers and then sell them as packs?

I don’t know if anyone ever buys wallpaper packs but I was thinking we could sell them from the forum website but to anyone even if they’re not part of the forum.

I was thinking more along the lines of planned sponsored events next year....
£10 in, get free swag and a parking space somewhere OR just have an annual fee for members.

I go to Caffeine and machine a lot... we could do a deal with them on discount for drinks and food with parking places blocked out for us.
I know they charge anyway, but maybe a bulk booking thing would mean a bit for them and a bit for the club... i dunno.

OR what about a pack of Wallpapers for our PC screens??

kidding..... anything to help the club is good, regardless of the idea.

yeh same. Don’t really use a PC other than my work one. And I just screenshot wallpapers for my phone

The extra couple of pound tacked onto an event is the best idea.

Any FD related product has been a waste of time as there isn't the community for a good amount of sales. I've got a draft of the calendar made but we struggled to sell 25 last year and the effort to profit isn't there.

With AIB backing us we can keep the lights on but I've also created another car forum that should grow and revenue from that will go to hosting (it's the same hosting).


I would love extra funds for site development, 13b display to take to events but the main thing is staying online.

I purchased a compression tester to take to events but that's only been used twice due to Rona.

I wouldn't worry about generating funds, if we ever lose advertising I'll just pay for hosting myself and do less site updates.
