Hello everyone I'm Ryan I'm based in the UK I bought my FD about 3 years back and am very close to finally getting my FD on the road until this hiccup . So I have a 1993 FD completely stock it had a engine rebuild about year and half ago got the engine back from the builders put the engine into the car and it sat untill a few weeks ago until I finally got around to working on it (bought my first house so the cars been on the back burner) .
So I ran the car for the first time since putting in the gearbox and prop and it ran mint for it first time running held it's idle perfect , added coolant and bled the system let it get up to temp to make sure thermostat and everything works everything went to plan so decided to move the car for the first time moved it about 3 metres out of the drive and stalled it . Started it up and it sounded rough and died . Tried to start it up again backfired scared the hell out me . Tried to start it up again and it started up pretty instant and was running fine again pulled it into the drive and parked it up , came back to it the next weekend and started it up again to it running really rough like it was running only on one rotor .pulled the rear leads and no change whatsoever to rpm or sound so was right in guessing it's only running on one rotor , checked for spark and swapped front plugs with rear and started up sounding the same , checked all my plugs and cleaned them up as they were quite black and stunk of fuel considering the engine had probably only ran for at most and hour in total at this point and not covered any miles guessing running rich from the fuel in the tank sitting for a year. all seem to be sparking from what I can see when i was checking them for spark . Done a comp test and the reading were good and consistent across the front and rear rotor .

Just wondering what my next step should be now? I'm going to order and new set of sparks and leads as it's still the original OEM ones , and so are the injectors too. when I had the engine rebuilt they done full engine rebuild brand new rats nats with new solenoids and lines and turbo rerfub

New plugs will defiantly help and worth getting fresh fuel in it, they don't like to sit and idle for to long especially if the plugs are a little fouled, unfortunately a good blast is what it needs.

Yep sounds like just needs a good run.

Mine used to do that on a standard ECU too. Give it some good throttle and was all good.

The standard ECU does run rich

So small update on it I've dropped the fuel tank as pulled the pump and it's pretty bad in there and could do with a clean ,.
I thought Ill do a test to rule out sparks or fuel so got out the easy start to see if I could get it to fire on the easy start or not , and it did run on the easy start on both rotors so chances are it's like you guys said needs a bit of a run in and fresh fuel will update once again in a week or so once ive got the tank cleaned up and fresh fuel in.
If issue is still there after suppose next thing will be injectors and lines :)

When shutting down, especially when cold, rev to 3000rpm and turn it off on the key. Works for me
