Small V Mount that would allow stock battery location?

Genuine question. This toasty weather has my AITs cooking unless I'm on the motorway for a while at 50+ mph. I was speaking with Stu from Rotor Torque and while the water does enough if you are constantly boosting and therefore using it, a better intercooler solution would help keep temps lower and get them down faster after the first 1 or 2 pulls.

I'm not saying I'm going to tear shit up in my engine bay, but it got me thinking, does anyone have a photo of a smallish V Mount setup that retains the stock batter location? I have only ever seen ones with tiny batteries or no batteries at all.

I just wonder if there is a solution that doesn't require any crazy cutting or permanent modification to the engine bay.

My engine bay (excluding my battery cover):

Why wouldn't you go with a pc680 or similar? You could easily get a black or carbon cover for it and you wouldn't even notice it was there

Knightsports? Quite expensive kit but the only one I can think of which sits far enough to the side for a larger battery. Seen GReddy Vmounts only with smaller battery.

No way to keep it on a trickle charger. Plus, if there is an option I would like it as hassle-free as possible to go back to OEM if I ever desired it.

That is pretty close! Pricey though! Any custom solutions people have spotted online by global owners?

I know Craig at TGS has been planning on making a V Mount kit for a while, might be worth shooting him a message! I would certainly be interested too.

I will do that. It's not a necessity I suppose because on track I have no issues, but in street driving I heatsoak pretty bad in London, and then when you get on the motorway even after 5-10 mins at 50-70mph the AITs are toasty and my twins and the ECU basically say no to 1.05 bar and reduce to 0.6-0.8 bar until things cool enough.

A no hassle small V Mount with a FEED bonnet would be sick.

In fall, winter and spring I have no heat soak issues because it's too cold!

I'd be game for a small V-mount setup too if one were around. I've been eyeing up the Knightsports kit because of the decent battery size mount and the nice air box they'll sell you to go with it but it's a serious amount of money too.

Hmm...going to ask on Facebook and see if anyone has mocked something up before.

That's fair Roy, trickle charging is pretty mandatory on the small batteries.

Would you not consider a fmic? Plenty choice to keep the oem battery with those. Some also keep a/c and with the full kits can be pretty unnoticeable after some matt black

The only option is custom. That way you can make everything fit how you want. Will probably work out cheaper than a kit too

Oops, I meant autumn.....you guys don't say fall here? Well now I know.
