Hi, its probably been brought up a million times but searching for come coilovers for my fd, currently stock suspension atm.
I've found BC Racing, Meisters, HSD's and Teins.
Cars only really used on the road, not track days so don't need the ride to be too hard.
Also is there anything i should replace at the same time (everything seems in good condition)

Thanks in advance

As with anything, depends on budget...

Cheap: MeisterR or BC
Middle: Ohlins
Expensive: Quantum, Nitron

I have Teins, don’t get Teins. Everyone who has Ohlins DFV seems very happy with them, I’d quite like to upgrade.

I went from teins to MeisterR and it's definitely an improvement but still a little stiff honestly even on full soft damping but a different spring rate might just make it smoother on A roads.

I went for the softer spring option on my meisters and they still hardened up well enough for trackdays.

You only need look at all of my posts to know what i think of meisters. I had quite a talk with Jerrick many years ago that convinced me they were by far the best of all the budget options.

If they stock the pro ones with the seperate reservoir now for a fd go for those. They are 2k+ but right up there with the top of the line systems

What spring rates did you end up with on the meisters?

When I purchased mine I asked them about going softer on the spring rates but they advised against it, so I bought their off the shelf option. They are much better than the old coilovers but still a bit on the stiff side for the roads around here

I have Ohlins on my FD with the softer 10/8 springs (11/11 is standard with their kit). Very happy with them and good value. I have Quantums on my R32 and the Ohlins are just as nice.
