Rattles 😆

Hi all so as some of you know I brought an FD which has been off the road for 2 years. Took her for MOT she passed all good.

Had a few drives and a couple of silly faults. Now I know the Fd is an older car but I was on the A12 crap condition road and as I got up to 70 the interior was shaking to bits lol. I had to back off.

The car is on standard suspension standard bushes. There's no knocks or bangs. Just major interior rattle. I have been around and pulled at the panels and none are loose.

Is this common or is my car special haha

Where are the rattles coming from? It is pretty normal to have rattles here and there in the car. The plastics are not great quality and the car is old.

The rattles are mainly coming from the rear seats door cards boot,boot plastics etc. I will have another look tomorrow.

Did you find all your rattles, I’ve got loads coming from the rear, not sure if it’s the spoiler flexing or the actual boot lid moving about
Oh I also found this underneath the spare wheel … that got rid of a big knock

Best way to find those rattles and squeaks is just throw your smallest mate in the boot and drive around the block lol.

If youre getting a high pitched squeak ive found that sometimes its the hatch seal rubbing just slightly.
