Oil change - maybe a stupid question

I use cheap oil, cheap filters, change regular. 3k miles at the most.

I find the engine runs a lot better after an oil change too.

And on a side note you're all sick fuckers, I flush everytime otherwise the house fucking stinks, especially if I've been on the beer the night before!

Mahle, Bosch, Fram, Genuine. Doesn't matter. They all do the job and you will change before 3,000 miles so you'll be fine with whatever you choose.

I like to use k&n filters as they have an ace 26mm hex at the top to aid changing, i change the filter every second oil change and change the oil every 3000 miles

I like the sound of that mark! Mashed mine up a bit yesterday as I wanted to knick it up a bit and used filter grips! Luckily they didn't puncture....just dented!

I use a strap wrench, it’s great for removing all kinds of things with minimal effort or damage.

Strap wrenches are great but I've never had a car where one would work. Stock FD is too tight to get it in easier just to grab it

A good set of grippy gloves and get the elbow off is usually a good option but the filter grippers work well but you and only move about 5mm at a time because abs unit!
