It's that time of year again to start thinking about a trip to the ring.

A few of us from another club go on the early Bank Holiday weekend in May, anyone on here planning to go around the same time ?

The dates for tourist days should be out soon so we can look to book accommodation and let the countdown begin.

I've always wanted to do it and have never got round to pulling my finger out and going. Keep this thread updated i could well be up for this.

As soon as the dates are out I will update the thread, would be good to see a few 7's there

We have provisionally booked three rooms to accommodate x6 people, Bank Holiday Weekend 2nd to 5th May 4 nights in total.

Looking to travel over Thursday 2nd return Monday 6th May, hopefully the ring will open as previous years for a couple of hours Friday evening
and all day Sat and Sun giving us plenty of time for some sight seeing and track time.

As it is a Bank Holiday it will be really busy on track and accommodation will fill up fast which is why we have grabbed x3 rooms to
start with.

I did this in my S2000 2 years ago.... felt fine driving all that way for it.

How do you guys find the RX doing it? Anyone had to come home on the back of a lorry?

I've had the 7 for 20 Months now and took her to the ring last May for the first time, we did around 1100 miles in
total and she never missed a beat, since then I have had some work done which should help with cooling etc as well as
a map so hoping for another trouble free trip. travelling there at around 80 mph she returned 28 mpg which shocked me, mine is
a weekend car and so far has not let me down once, long may this continue. it will be serviced in April before the trip.

Before last years trip the longest distance I had covered in the car was 40 miles in one go, they are old cars
so you do take a chance.

On talking to my mate that booked the rooms he said they are now booking quickly so anyone thinking of doing
the trip early May would be advised to book up as soon as.

We will be returning on the bank holiday at the end of May, Friends from the UK will be going across but i will be meeting them there on my way back from worthersee. Im not taking my lincoln on the track though!

Eddy's place is the best place to stay. The english bar is good and they also offer accomodation:

Also we tend to plan our trips around what dates there is something happening at club effel stadt ha ha

We are also staying in Adenau this year, the road from there to the ring is a great way of warming the car up and putting
a smile on your face.

The ring dates are now out and the bastards have changed the normal open days this yeas so we are looking to shift to the end of May
when it will be open for 4 days in a row, going out on the 29th May and returning on the 4th June staying over for 5 nights, the ring is
open all day on the Thurs,Fri,Sat & Sun, we will return home on the Monday.

Just hope that the other guys can get to change their holiday dates at work and we can find decent accommodation for these dates.

The end of may is pretty popular there if anyone else on here is going at the end of May let us know it would be good to meet up for a beer and talk sh1t.

We are sticking with the 23rd to 27th as we are calling in on our way back from worthersee

this is also on
24.05.2019 (Fri) - 26.05.2019 (Sun) Nürburgring Classic Grand-Prix-Strecke

We are hoping that club effel stadht is open the bank holiday weekend for a rave too

One of the guys has had to pull out of this so there is space for one more. If anyone on here is interested send
a pm and I will let you know the details, costs etc.

It would be great to have another 7 join in the fun.

Just a couple of weeks to go, getting all excited now, so excited I nearly ripped the Exhaust of on a speed bump today,
at times I forget how low these cars are.

Got her booked in to a garage on Sat to see what damage if any it has caused as it sounds a bit different now, or I am getting paranoid.

Anyway, really looking forward to the trip the 7 is set up and running better than ever, and sure the Exhaust will not be an issue.

Has anyone here booked the same dates.

Im going out early july with a group of friends but im not brave enough to take the 7 haha, im sure it would be fine though as i do multiple 300 mile round trips in it every year. I might look at doing this in the future when my rex is more sorted.
