JapWestMods - Be cautious

Not sure about those guys pricing TBH. Their “flash sale” on Instagram has 99 spec bumpers for £899 shipped. Which is great, except you can buy them brand new from Mazda U.K. for £519 🤔
Fair enough they have stock and Mazda U.K. want two weeks but I think I’d rather wait two weeks than pay a £400 premium.

Not delt with them but the 99spec bumper price is concerning. Monky London seems to push them so I thought they were legit

Can’t say I was impressed with the service I got from these guys, wouldn’t trust dropping £60k through them. Would probably be quicker to go get it yourself too 😂

Just read the driftworks thread on them, safe to say they will never be getting any of my money.

Why does the car scene seem to have an abundance of cockwombles trying to rip people off.

Got a link? Would love to read other people’s opinions. It’s bloody annoying isn’t it, they’re supposed to be ‘official UK distributors’ of brands like RE Amemiya and other big Japanese companies which is what drew me in.

All joking aside, this is my biggest problem with selling and buying parts online and its not just the Fbook groups its also traders, humans are just bad by nature. Everyone's on the take and finding honest genuine people to trade with is getting harder and harder. I'm still owed £577 from an online trader for a set of injectors I have never received.

Too many fake accounts online from the same cockwombles and twatsacks, it's not just the car scene it's everything, sites like Gumtree and apps like Shpock do not help and sometimes its low value items as well, the lowest I have seen was £12, I mean you have to be pretty low and desperate to steal/defraud anyway, but £12... come on!

Oops missed that one!

Just having a read through all sounds very familiar, great communication up until they have your money, then it arrives 6 months later than anticipated and you don’t hear anything in that time. Then when it all finally arrives they try to tell you that you haven’t paid for it all yet!

We run an online business, and i am still amazed how much fraud there is on both sides. Recently the wife found out about a facebook group that will send you a manual on how to rip off online stores for £20, claiming you can "Save hundreds of pounds easily from stores like amazon etc"

i brought my rx off these turned out to have so many issues refused to refund then refused to fix the car, absolute cowboys massive threads on facebook about these ive personally spoken with 3 others who had same issues.
one lad brought a black s15 when it came it was blue with half the parts missing

Wow, I didn’t realise the problem was this bad. I kind of assumed that given the social media presence and number of people who supposedly recommend them that they were atleast half decent. I’ve noticed someone else has come out on driftworks who supposedly has had issues too.

It would be useful, especially for new members if anyone that has had a negative experience with them could post up a review in the company reviews and feedback section. This will hopefully alert others and allow them to save their hard earned money! Or perhaps I should move this thread there and rename it 🤔

Yes we need a list of who to avoid. That's the whole point of joining the club innit

Serious mark up on most products and massive delays in sending said products, as for buying cars off them I would be very wary,
I know a guy who purchased a car through them. Approved the sale whilst it was in japan and by the time it arrived and was ready to collect a lot of big ticket items had gone missing and appeared on the new items on there shop

It seems there are a lot of issues with these guys but has anyone had any good experiences with them?
