Just waiting on intercooler brackets to be welded, a turbo oil return, some more coolant and a 4” v band for down pipe. Probably next weekend now before first start, managed to put fresh wrap on exhaust today and just double check my work.

Also I have a set of MSD leads for AEM coils if anyone is interested, looking for £50.

First little local drive yesterday to check for leaks etc. All seems good apart from what seems to be a noisy water pump, I’ve ordered a new one from Atkins Rotary with gaskets etc.

My GRacing short shifter should arrive this week, looking forward to trying it.

The plan is now to put some decent miles on it, do some logging so I can send to Jay to make some adjustments to cruise as has a little different porting. Hopefully can get it mapped Feb/March.

Passed MOT today - i managed just 684 miles last year so anything beyond that is a bonus in 2022.

No advisories - just a small leak from turbo oil return which has always been an issue so bought a few new flanges and awaiting some fittings and hose to make a neater less leaky one.

Car also needs lowering a tad, especially at the front.

Will that 15% not back up with oil until its full enough to push the oil upwards? Last thing you want is a turbo failure taking out the fresh engine.

In a word, no.

Road tested, no leaks and no smoke from exhaust so I’d say it’s doing it’s job as designed.

I had a bonus from work so did what any other sane FD owner would do and placed an order for CSG rear lights including middle section. Just a casual 6 month lead time.

I love them, will look badass.

Not much happening.

I have as good as completed the 500 miles for running in, I’ve changed the oil and filter. I’ve got some new plugs on order so I’m ready for mapping. Just waiting on a date from Stu & Jay.

I also took delivery of some methanol, going to do a 50/50 water meth split this time.

Gave it a Polish and wax the other day using Poorboys products, have to say very good results and good value for money.

Finally got round to lowering the car 1/2 inch all round to take into account the move from 18s to 17s.

Just waiting for mapping date now.

I went to get the car tuned yesterday.

The good news is it made 520whp/600 ish at fly at 22psi, slightly frustrating news is we were running out of injector to run much more boost to get closer to the goal of 600whp.

Sadly we hit a bit of a problem on the last run - going to need to pull engine to investigate.

Changed up the rails for Radium, moved up primaries to 1650s and moved to R35 coils.
