Unfortunately I’ve had to reject my M3 following big end bearing failure after only 700 of my own miles and 16,500 on the engine itself.

Im now working on getting into a slightly newer 2018 model, hopefully have it this week. It’s been a nightmare these last couple of weeks.

Is it possible the FD will be more reliable ?

Have to say Stu has been a legend and taken care of so many issues with my FD.

Whilst the car has been on the ramp he’s sorted many of the bushes, tie rod ends, fuel lines and even swapped out my fuel tank which had been bodged previously. Also added an in-tank baffle to help stop fuel surge.

Unfortunately he’s found a bit of rust on one of the sills that will need sorting before the next MOT in May. It just shows you should get a good luck under a car when buying which admittedly I did not do.

It is supposed to be having the exhaust and down pipe done tomorrow on the basis that Coronavirus hasn’t fucked things up.

Hopefully have a running video to post in a few weeks.

I think he’s still working as he’s not open to the public but not sure if he’s full time so may slow the process up a bit sadly. Last thing I heard the exhaust was getting sorted.

I do hope so, can’t wait for a start up vid. Nothing more would perk me up given the current state of affairs. I’ll have something to tinker with too which will keep me occupied as planning on getting it trailered back ASAP. That’s if I can find someone willing to collect.

Ive also got a very snotty neighbour who hated my R5 exhaust, she has no clue what she has coming.

Had a brief chat with Stu earlier, the fabricator is waiting for a few more bends to be delivered before the exhaust can be sorted so likely next week now.

Exhaust and down pipe is done, looks good. I may change the wastage to vent to atmo at a later date.
