Fuel rails and injectors

Right so ive finally got my engine out and im going to be stripping it down to the bare engine as everything is pretty much a shit state ive currently got bosch 1680 secondaries that have resistors on im thinking of running 1700 injector dynamics secondaries and 720 primaries to get rid of the 25years standard one does anyone know of a kit where you can buy the rails injectors lines fittings etc ive seen the ffe and cjm motorsport one i the U.S. anyone had any experience with them or is it easier to piece my own together

Radium do nice rails with fittings for sensors and also elite rotary do a nice kit

You can't get 725cc the smallest they do is 1050x

Yeh just realised that was looking at the wrong one with bosch injectors i definalty want id's so i dont have to run resistors and can tidy up my loom abit

Apparently the pfc ain't able to work well with 1050s they are a bit too large and it struggles to inject the right fuel.

Pretty sure the bosch ev14 don't need resistors and come in 750cc or 1650cc for primary and secondary.

Just checked theyre the ones i was looking at i got mixed up with the ids as i was looking and comparing the ffe to the cj kit they should be more than enough to achieve between 350-400whp hopefully amd just want to tidy up the loom under the uim also the old connectors for the rats nest can they just be cut of and wrapped up in the loom as mines a mess with old plugs tatty wiring and a big plate with resistors on which are definalty going

Personally id strip that entire engine loom out after labelling all the plugs.

Get it on a big table and then undo all that sticky shitty wrap and then de pin the wire from the ecu plug rather then risk a short by just cutting them off. Then wrapping the loom again and making it pretty.

Do it once. Do it right otherwise you'll be another guy who fudged it and the engine blew or worse had an unplanned fire

@Nas80 @jdmr_neil what do the secondary injectors require for fitting as in o ring wise do i need to get lim inserts to get the injectors to seat correctly or do they just need double o rings this will be my first time doing changing injectors and rails im quite confident in fitting all the othet parts just don't want the expense of taking it to a garage a few hundred miles away for something i can do myself

When you buy a new fuel rail you normally get the injector seat converter things with it. Your new injectors are much thinner then the originals.

When you put the insert seat things into the injector hole it helps to lube the shit out of them and be dead careful. Make sure they are all the way in etc.

Pretty much as nas said, everything came with my package from dm and Stu fit it all when i went to get my newly fit single mapped. I was chatting to him and Jay the whole time and it looked a doddle.

Yep everything should be with the rails.

The little adapters for the manifold can be a bit fiddly I broke mine, the o rings were tight and ripped. So just be careful.

I cant seem to get hold of anyone at dm so im giving up amd ordering some FFE rails im going to stick with the same size injectors in 550 and 1700 just using the new ones as opposed to the ones from the 90s i know my map will need adjusting but it should atleast start shouldnt it
