Front brake pad movement

Hi All

I have recently fitted Stoptech discs and DS2500 pads, there feels like I have a small amount of movement in the front pads just before coming to
a complete stop.

I have ordered some new pins the ones that go through the caliper and pads just in case the old ones have worn a bit, there are no shims on the
front pad ends and I don't know if there should be, any one know what else it could be.

Tbh i really doubt you would feel the 1mm if that of movement of brake pads, sure you maybe havent got a worn bush

Sounds like I may need a Doctor rather than a Mechanic, will get the bushes looked at during next service.

I've had the same brake combo and never had an issue. Worth just getting under it and making sure everything is tight.

I was/am a big fan of ferrodo pads but with stoptech discs i found the stoptech pads bit harder although not a massive difference but for only half the price.

Fitted the new pins and the feeling of movement has almost gone now, may replace the wire springs next and see if that cures it.
