Five spoke inspiration needed

Hi chaps,

I haven't had my fd for long but I feel the time has come to start putting my own stamp on it. The one thing that really bugs me about the car currently are the wheels so that seems a good, and easy place to start.

I currently have some old sparco alloys that have seen better days:

I'm not a fan of the colour but I think they fit quite well (staggered 17's).
I'm currently swaying towards keeping 17's for the ride/performance and maybe a five spoke design. I have taken a liking to this (looks like 18's though?):

I'm not a wheel whore and still not up to speed with sizes and offsets for the fd so I need your help on settling on which wheels/sizes to get.

What five spokes are you guys running/recommend?

Offsets are owner preference really, everyone has different opinions on what they consider acceptable .

Thanks guys. I am definitely set on 5 spokes now, just need to nail down the exact spec. What offsets are you running?

Seems like white wheels are a bit of a theme on RX7s!

And as for budget ~£1500 is what I have in mind but that's flexible depending on what that will get me (I know top end wheels are out of that range)

TE37s and derivatives are the classic all time 5 spoke. Timeless design but always cool. Gram Lights 57 are 5 spokes also.

Regamasters. 17x 10” all around, think they’re et20 and 40.

Period lightweight forged classic wheel.

Another one for regamasters, hard to come across though. They suit the FD so well. I know that rota slipstreams are similar but dont have as much dish/depth i think

I quite like the look of Work T5R's for brand new wheels and can order them in 'custom' sizes from driftworks. I'm thinking 17x9s all round or maybe 8.5 up front?

I'm unsure on what offsets would work with my stock body fd though. Any recommendations?

I have 17x9.5 ET30 on stock body at the min with arch roll.

Fine on the rear, prob doesn't need the arch roll, but the front is tight, if I could I'd get ET35

Fits fine, looks ace, but scrapes the arch liners

Regas are the holy grail of five spokes, they made my Advan RG's feel heavy. Wish I'd kept my old ones that I got off Phil...I think they're on someones FD on here somewhere?

Afraid not, lost in the depths of photobucket! re-mamamiya in the states bought them, below are some pics of them on his rex. They're the only rims I've bought brand new and they were in gold, GTR concave faced 9.5j et24.
