I put my 360 cam on the outside of the car on the first session after lunch to record some drive-bys. I was promptly told off, but allowed to run with the cam fitted as a one-off, once I'd demonstrated that the camera was tethered. Caught a few of you charging by me, while I was on cool down laps...

Morning all. Those who attended the track day on Friday - outbreak of covid at my child's school on Thursday last week (we were told last night). My household began to feel unwell on Saturday. I've just done a test and it's positive.
Please test yourselves and self isolate where required.

Not sure if I've posted this in the most suitable place. Admin can moderate?
Did you share a car with anyone? Other than that asymptomatic transfer outside is not something that even needs considering.

Thats cool, how does the cam track the cars?

The camera records everything in 360 degrees at 5.7k. I can then decide to edit it any way I want. So the direction, level of zoom and panning to track the car was done by me in the Insta360 editing software.

It opens up some interesting opportunities and flexibility compared to using a traditional action camera, although the resolution in any one direction is lower.

Negative test here. Thanks for informing us. I really hope you and your family feel better soon !

Thanks for the vid, got a nice driveby of me there! I hadn't quite appreciated how the 360 degree camera lets you defer the zoom and panning til later, very neat :)
