FD:OC Dyno Day - 26th May at TGS

Nice to see you all, here are some pictures, I will edit together a dyno run video soon. Just as I got on my drive the car pissed out some coolant so I'll have the joys of looking at that soon (Hopefully nothing too serious)

Nice pics Matt. Need some vids of them flames from Alan's car!

See you put the workhorse on Joe ?.

Some fantastic looking cars there and I'm 95% sure that is Shaun's car with the beautiful bay.

Cant wait for the "smiling fuckers with running engines" dyno list to come up.??

Flames... Here's my video. Flames on both 2nd and 3rd pulls.

Looks like someone shot it up close, so would love to see their footage.

I did make it...albeir after 4pm...I managed to get on the dyno but my car was heatsoaked pretty badly so my transition looks a bit lazy, otherwise I think without he heatsoaking it would have only made another 10-15hp anyway. At least I finally got to meet Craig. Thanks for JoeLanger and MightyCondor for hanging around and then grabbing a pint and a burger at a local pub afterwards.

Next time I won't try to make a journey up to Manchester from London on a bank holiday weekend. "F" that M1 and screw that beautiful A616/A628 one lane road...My left calf is so sore today as a result of all of the stop and go and my car was totally baking at some points with water temps pushing 100C and oil temps pushing 110C just sitting in traffic not moving. Thank God we don't live in California or I could have had some real trouble!

330hp and 328lb ft. Odd that the torque was as high as the hp? Anyway, I'll scan the graph later.

Injector duty was reading a shade over 95% on the Commander which seemed a bit high for the weather and air temps only dropped to high 40s on the dyno when they will usually get down to mid 30s.

Quiet car.

Taken on an Android phone and uploaded to YouTube. Just checked the privacy settings and they're fine, so not sure what's up there.

Anyone else having problems playing it?

Must have been something with my browser tbh. Anyway I copied the url into Google and it played fine. Great video and quality flameage, top work sir?

Again was gutted to miss this. I thought you were driving up the day before?.

Car sounded great on the dyno still and I would have had the same heatsoak issues from driving down certainly. My last dyno run was a dyno developments too they look very modern compared to some. How were your afrs and boost. Did you get up to over a bar still?

Yep engine bay is mne :) I have a heat soak issue I need to fix though getting cold air to the intake.

Tbh heatsoak is just part and parcel of dynos ime. Unless the operator has took the time and money to run the fans intake from clean air outside. Along with this spending money on powerful direct fans. Craig's looks a much better set up than the last one I was on. One tiny fan in a roasting workshop.

I'm android, doesn't work for me either. I'll try copying URL like Neil ?

Here is a photo of mine. Happy with the AFRs and it was still making boost where it needed but the transition looks lazy compared to my last graph. Given the injector duty and intake temps it was running hot.

Boost on the primary was 1.1 bar and on the secondary was 1.0 bar.
