FD:OC Dyno Day - 26th May at TGS

Decisions...install new fuel pump and crank boost up to as high as possible?

Nah. Put new plugs in before the day though and change the oil maybe...

Also, some advice. Bring ear plugs. My car was nice and sporty sounding at the last Dyno day, but everyone else's was so loud it hurt to think (> 110 dB for sure). I'll be using ear plugs.

For those of us traveling from practically another country (over 6 hours for me), would anyone be interested in staying the night after the Dyno day? The day isn't supposed to start until about 12-1pm so I figured we might be done by 6-8pm, and then we could use that as an excuse to go get dinner and some beers near some accomodation. Then those of us that are ages away can drive home the next morning.

I'd be up for dinner and beers although pointless staying over for me.

I have a sofa bed spare if that's any use?

I'm debating whether to come up or not as it's over a 7 hour round trip for me. The ozone layer will likely be noticeably thinner after :ROFLMAO:.

If a few guys are up for dinner and staying over I'd be keen, though (y)(y).

I will be up for this Roy. I don't think I could stand a 12 hour round trip in mine on the same day

Its a 7hr for me too I'm expecting. As much as id like a beer, i have too much on at home so will have to do it all in the one day. I'll be game for a pint at lunchtime though?

Also following from seab's post if anyone is wanting to meet travelling down from the real north id be happy to stop in a services.

3+ hours each way for me too. Was originally planning to do it all on the day, but will see how plans for food & drink develop. Spreading this in to an extra day will certainly mean that I incur more wrath from the missus, who really has zero approval of my car related exploits! :(

I'll be passing Huddersfield if there is a convoy in the making ?
I was more asking to see if there was anyone local who fancied a passenger lol.
Not been out in an FD since the test drive where i sold my last one :-(

I'm going to have to give this a miss unfortunately. My car needs a few bits doing but they won't be getting done till next month now

I don’t think I’ll be able to make it either. I have a large number of issues with the car to sort out from the mods done when I purchased the car, and tbh it they all just need ripping out and doing properly before I end up with a smoking pile of scrap. Plus I have a huge amount of paperwork to sort out for the business

Ok, so where are we going to stay then so we can have beers and dinner after the Dyno day?

I’d recommend Premier inns around Intu trafford centre, as there are plenty of places to eat and drink around there.
