I don’t normally buy into the whole “car as an investment” thing, but thought it was nice seeing the car get some recognition.

Some interesting choices in the article. I’m surprised to see the Alpine in there over something like the Elise/Exige which have just been discontinued. I can’t see them ever going down in value honestly.

And a nice shot of the winners colour fd too!
Fm though, why do they love pushing the burning oil thing? Mine burnt fuck all oil, my 8 burnt fuck all too! In fact I've seen my mate put more oil in his a3 in a month than I had in my entire rotary ownership! Granted my 7 never done a lot of miles but my 8 was a daily for a year and i never put oil in it, was getting 30mpg back n forth to work! Imo the 8 is the one to buy now! 10 years time they'll be up over 50% in value i reckon!

With the doom and gloom about EV's I think maybe cars start going up now instead of down?

Yes unfortunately these cars are going up! Not much fun in motoring jap cars these days! I don't want my fd being an investment, I want cheap parts and deal with negotiable people not vultures! And be able to go out and enjoy the car and not think, I gotta spend 500 pound on a failed wheel bearing.
