Anyone used a EezIbleed to bleed brake fluid, are they any better than the old fashion pumping the brake pedal way.

Pretty good kit the eezibleed, I prefer the old fashioned way personally providing someone's there to give you a hand! A lot of people are into speed bleed nipples these days. I've not used them personally though! @JoeLanger the nazi has them on his fd I believe!

I've used a cheap vacuum bleeder (from eBay) for a number of years now. Simple enough one man job. I pull a calipers worth of fluid out of each corner before every track day. The only downside is you can't really use it to check for bubbles as it drags in air from around the bleed nipple thread. It was the only way I could bleed my clutch circuit when I built the car.

I normally just use the mityvac and vacuum bleed at the calipers. If a master gets air stuck you can also pressure bleed the other way so it works well.

I've always found FD's particularly easy to bleed compared to other cars. Never had issues with air stuck in masters etc.

I try to use a vacuum pump all the time, always remove the nipple first and wrap with ptfe tape to reduce the chance of air being drawn in. Right or wrong it's always worked.
The old pumping method is fine but in the past I've done my m/c seals in on both brake and clutch cylinders. When the tinternet came along I read that if the m/c hasn't been used for a while or is old, the action of a massive full stroke through the bore can shred the seals on a crusty surface, that in normal use, never gets to see a piston seal.

I've got the speed bleeders on the front calipers and they've been fine, I've also used the vacuum bleeders but could never be sure that I had got all of the air out of the system, even though I greased the threads to try and reduce the amount of air it pulled through. With these I always struggled to get the air out of the clutch system.

I've got an eezibleed system now and its much easier when bleeding the brakes by yourself, plus it doesn't need to be refilled as much. I've done two MC changes on different cars and I found it fairly straight forward.

No not the nipples. I've bought the pressurised canister thing, not used it yet though. Next door borrowed it but it didnt fit his bike.
Think it's on Opie oils, think it was called ezibleed, has a pipe that goes onto a tyre.

I've always just done it with 2 people but bit of a faf so will use it next time I need too.
I'm gonna make some blank plates also to stop it dribbling all out if you take the calipers off

I borrowed one of the Eezibleed kits and have to say they make the whole process very easy, it is the first time
I have done this as I normally pay to have it done and will be buying a kit some time soon. highly recommended.

I’ve had the hose pop off the ezibleed version before and cover a car in brake fluid, probably my own fault as it states the tyre pressure can’t be higher than 21psi but dropping the pressure then pumping it back up again is more effort than pumping the pedal.

Have a sealey pressure bleeder now which you pump up by hand, much better
