BRIDE or Recaro?

Anyone using BRIDE Gias 2 or Stradia 2, or Recaro Pole Positions? If so, do they fit without fouling the door cards with the doors closed and is there a noticable reduction in seat height?

I'm 34"/35" waist and mainly want to change seats to get as low a seating position as possible.

This thread might be helpful

I have recaro apex (which were SPGs with a cheap cover) on bride lowmax seat rails and the amount they touch the door card depends on how you mount them, there is lateral adjustment that means you can fit them pretty far inboard that eliminates contact. But... it does then limit how far forward the seats move on the runners. Are you a jeans 34" or a suit 34"? I'm a suit 33 ish and the apex/ spg shell is snug but ok.

I run a recaro pole position drivers seat, it just clears the door card. They have a wide base which I find more comfortable over longer distances/seat time.

Due to the wider base you often need to modify a set rail to fit it (certainly if you want it to slide for the MOT) but its pretty much on the floor. Most side mounts can sit pretty low.

Never an easy answer as it depends on where the seat is mounted. Have a look at the way the door card is shaped towards the back at shoulder height and the tunnel at the front. My SPG touches the door card when cornering. You could trim the structure of the seat on the shoulder support so that it is only the fabric making contact. I wouldn't expect a radical improvement in height with a change in seat. It is fractionally better, but I've had to recline the seat to fit with a lid. I had to grind half the hex off the 2 rear floor bolts so the seat can slide over them.

I'm 32/33" waist and the SPG is snug for me. From memory the PP might be a bit more accommodating, but worth checking.

I'm a 34" waist in jeans / 42L in a suit. Can you share some images of your setup?

This sounds interesting - it echos what GSM performance were telling me re the pole position. What rail did you use to mount the seat in the car? Can you share some images? Thanks
