One of my mates is booking a track day at Bedford on Sat 11th Aug, so I thought it rude
not to join him, anyone else up for it

This will be my first track day with the 7 and I think Bedford is ideal as it has plenty of run off areas and is pretty wide for
when I get it all wrong.

Did my first track day here too, great track to get used to your own car. What I will say is be careful with those noise limits, I had to change my exhaust to one nearly as quiet as stock to pass.

just be careful at bedford......really really strict noise limit, dont trust a smart phone to measure mine was out 7db...... 101db static

Thanks for the heads up guys

Just took my mates car out for a run and it is possibly louder than the FD so will look to book elsewhere

From memory the static at Bedford is 101db which shouldn't be a problem for most people who run a decent sized midpipe. However I'm not so sure about the 88db drive by. There are sound monitors all over the site.

Only been there in my RX8. I'll give it a go there in my FD at some point. Hopefully will be fine.

88db is not that loud on a drive by the 101db static should be fine, but it is a waste of money and a day with
the possibility of getting black flagged after a couple of laps.

Combe was 100db. I have stock twins, 3 inch dp, I used a 3 inch sport cat and behind the cat I pit in a 2 inch restrictor plate (basically a .8 mild steel gasket but instead of a 3 inch hole, a 2 inch hole) I also have a twin tip outlet and I hit 90db at castle combe! I was really worried about it as it was my first track day but judging by the sound on 90% of the cars on track I could have just run my 3 inch unsilenced mid pipe no bother!
