Hi Guys.
I have been speaking to the Guys over at AST about remaking a kit for the FD. Ever since I saw a set of 2 ways on ED's car I have thought about asking, but I was over there working on on of their cars before Christmas. So made sure I dropped it into conversation.
Basically they can make the dampers again. But to make it worth while they would need to do a minimum of 5 sets, Due to machining of bodies etc.
So they will be Single Way Adjustable ( One knob does both bump and rebound adjustment, Just like a HSD, BC etc)
You can spec your own spring rates if you wish.
The price will be £1650+ VAT per kit.
Top mounts (I think) are optional, and work out at £359+ VAT.
I know these aren't cheap, but they are very good dampers, as i'm sure Ed will agree.
The dampers are of course fully serviceable.
I have a few things to find out, such as, the possibility of using other top mounts, depending on shock diameter etc, and whether the AST top mounts are camber/ caster adjustable.
Also i'm sure that if someone would like to upgrade to 2 way, then that would be fine.
I just really wanted to see if anyone was keen.
