Just had mine delivered today, looks really good!

Any tips for getting it fitted? It'll probably make sense when I get started but thought I might as well ask.

Don't do it 👍 😛
Drain your fluids
Take off old ast and filler neck
Bolt onto where filler neck was
Not sure if there's a bypass pipe, I'm assuming so, bypass from bottom of rad up to new ast/filler neck 👍
How's that mate?

I know there's no gasket on the filler neck as the thermostat is the seal. I'm assuming you will not need a gasket on that contraption also 😂😆

You ever bled the system on the fd? It's really easy to do the oldskool way but it does help investing in a lisle funnel! I borrow my mates 😂 I've also used one of them 1,25 coke bottles with an o ring on to bleed the system without fail too. But I'd suggest getting a mate to hold the bottle to stop it tipping (and also for when the thermostat opens 😂😂)

Nice one!
Yeah I bought a lisle funnel a while back (thinking of the price still hurts) will pay for itself eventually I hope haha
Going to do a couple of coolant flushes before fitting this as the coolant is a bit sludgy

It really is the easiest option! Its a shame you never done the oldskool pull the top pipe off to bleed the system and them try get the fucker back on throttle body while hot and then the price of the funnel really won't seem all that bad 😂 it's so simple and also you have no spillages 👍

You don't have to drain the whole system, just drop the level a little then it will make filling easier. Bleeding these can be a bastard.

There's like an o ring on the back.

Pfft don't listen to Joe. Bleeding these are easy, it's only hard when you think you have air in the system but you've actually got the fuel temp sensor connector connected to your coolant temp sensor which causes your car to boil over😂😂😎
He has got a point though, if you don't want to drain the system you can just drop the level a bit and top it back up 👍

No they are bastard.

I've modded a fancy bleeder at the back so went really well last time.

Sorry for the lack of reply here I've been snowed under this year,

If you need any help I'm always at the end of the phone but as Joe says above no need to drop all the coolant.

See now I've never had an issue with the pipe off the throttle body technique. Refill it till it spews out of that pipe, screw the cap on and bobs your aunt.
