Hi all as title says anyone know this car or has info on in, I searched Mot database and from 2014 till start of 2022 it has not done any miles, off road for 8 years,

Any help appreciated

Lee

It looks a nice car tbh as always the compression and a good look around is essential for 25k. Personally I'd offer less

Hi guys firstly I feel a car is worth what the buyer is willing to pay and especially on a second car like an fd, which in both modified and original condition are commanding big money but are they selling at these price's maybe occasionally. Definitely a buyers market

Little up date on this car.

Gonna view it today

Spoke to seller owned the car for a year and only done 1000 miles, work commitments.

It's Charlie's old car

No engine rebuild or comp tests

Side skirts , rear bumper blended in to body,

Will update later

Cheers lee

Hello if anyone is interested Little update,

Viewed the car today and here's my thought's

Interior

Clean original nice place to be nothing missing No damage, seats are lovely all retrimmed with red stitching.

Engine

All original. Starts first time on cold. Once taken for a spirited drive started first time hot, engine pulled very well. No comp tests but appeared to be healthy

Bodywork

Good condition but half-assed paint job trim around windows not great door shuts have masking lines between new and old paint same colour different shade, body kit at the rear has been blended to rear bumper with fake joint line. Side skirts have also been blended in.

I couldn't see the sills or the underside as the RE Amemiya side skirts are very low and
Hide the sills

I didn't make an offer as my intention was to put it Back to original spec and the cost of a bodyshop would out weigh what I could Buy a clean example for. ( I would do a lot of the prep work)

My own opinion is this is a 20-22k car.

Nice car presents very well. But bodywork let's it down

This is why we have to view the cars and not just assume a car is worth X amount because its a better/newer version but in reality it needs work.

Thanks Lee

Because, it's worth £25k if not more all day long.
Yet makes no sense trying to plunge a niche market into a recession.
Its worth it to you!! It might not be to me so I would offer whatever i feel its worth.

I get you want to keep the fd prices high mate but everything has slowed down across the board.

Also as proven above its extremely hard to say any car is worth XX amount without actually being stood next to it.

Not me, the market!!!! Look online for any post-99 car and show me one for less than £25k?

I don't want to keep the prices anywhere, they are worth what they are worth when the time comes to sell based on market value (stock/modified)

WRT your third point, it's easy to add a value to a car based on it being a breaker, so advertising something rough a little higher because it has quality components fitted is not unusual. Because there is more value for someone who has the space, time and storage to break it.

I guess the market will shit it's self now, toys will all get flogged and hopefullly it'll come back strong in a couple of years :)

Looking at the importers in Japan cars are still selling very strong.

Seems to be only here we drive ourselves down. These cars will only sell for what people are willing to pay at the end of it. Clean cars that are done well will alway be worth top money now.

Cost of living may bring some slightly chrome cars to the market
