Decided to book a Airfield track day as a shake down for the 7 to see how she is running under a few revs in a safe
Environment, going on Friday 29th March, pretty cheap day at £139 if anyone fancies it.

Theres a trick I've seen on a few motorsport cars in which they put a bolt, say m5 or m6, through the center of the tip, verticaly placed. Which im guessing in effect splits the sound waves from exiting straight so as to trick the decibel reader, but has a negligible effect on flow.

Or run a dolphin tailpipe and point the noise at the ground 😃, same difference really.

I'll check if they do a half day. I was going to go to Bedford on the 18th to shakedown my car and learn how to handle it in safer conditions.

Would be good to get the opinions on more experienced FD owners. Who's going?

I hope you don't have good exterior paint! Expect stone chips aplenty afterwards!

Had a fun day today, a small Airfield track that was pretty clean on the surface, a few chicanes to slow you down and
very well run.

I managed to spin out once which was fun as there is not a lot to hit so no harm done.

Car run faultless all day on track, but on the way home the car cut out a couple of times to start with and then after a
few miles when coming to a stop the revs dropped right out and then bounced back to normal tick over, very strange
any thoughts would be appreciated.

Forgot to say, after worrying about the noise test at 5k she registered 93bd a lot quieter than I thought it would be,
but happy I will get onto most uk tracks with her, time to look for another one.

Funny you say that, on last 7s day, towards the end of the day o was finding that my fd was cutting out when braking down to roundabouts! Sounds a bit like throttle adjustment! Stuck dash pot or something maybe?
