4th Nov, FD:OC Dyno Day with Rotor Torque

Is there a thread or topic where we are all attaching our dyno plots. Im interested in the torque curves as they all seem quite different considering similar set ups on the same engines. I had 300+ lbs-ft at 4k which held flat until 6.5k at which point it drops pretty quick. Some graphs the torque is flat like mine but others it consistently rises. What causes this, boost response i guess????. #13balwayslearning

It's a shame that there is no boost trace on these graphs as it would be a key factor.

From what I observed on the dyno day there are a few possibilities:

Some people had restrictive exhausts which limited their top ends.

Boost levels dropping off on smaller turbos or conversely surging.

Inadequate fuelling and supporting upgrades etc for size of turbo chosen.

I have the Dyno plots but I was going to wait to not only upload the original plots but the comparison charts as well.

Not in any way contesting what your saying as i feel that is 100% correct. Personally i know why my boost is dropping off, because my turbo is tiny in the rotary world but it's nice to be able to judge where its performance is to other more modern kit.

Standing by Roy, i don't envy you the job of correlating that lot.

I will tell you it is really time consuming because I have to extrapolate all of the data from PDFs rather than starting with the hard data already extracted into Excel.

I hope to have all of the charts converted to Excel by the weekend and then I will make a big ass post with the raw sheets, comparisons, explanations, etc. and hopefully kick off a great discussion.

Good to hear lol, not much after 6.5k though but yes it certainly comes on hard.

You tease!!!!
