How often do you start your car???

Who rebuilt it? I definitely would not be starting and idling a freshly rebuilt engine unless the builder specifically said to do that, normally they'd give you run-in instructions.
LOL its been ran in and mapped etc ready to go... ive done about 2000 miles since rebuild

I start mine once a month and let it get to temp in the garage... is that wrong?
Always on a trickle charger
I dont bother with trickle charge just disconnect the battery. Just idling it is not recommended as mentioned above it will introduce carbon deposits. Rotary engines especially need to be revved. Follow the philosophy of a redline a day keeps the carbon away

Thanks Rob.... It wont be out of the garage until its dry and not salty :)
So I guess its best to not start it at all over the winter, but remove the Relay and turn it over a few times before it is started?

Sorry for digging up an old thread but it stops me starting a new one!

Is this different from just holding the throttle pedal all the way down and cracking for a few seconds?

Think I'll do this green relay methord anyway, just curious! I've never left my car unstarted for more than 2 weeks so I have been super concerned
I have this concern no more 😆

They’re really not the fragile. Just prime the oil system before you start and maybe give it some 2t down the lim.

Pour a small amount of oil or two stroke down the intake into the Chambers. Then turn by hand with a Ratchet.

Can do this with a syringe through the vac tubes

Yeah they are not all that fragile, just do the normal, unplug battery or trickle charge. Leave tank full and start it up when you need it.

People make out rotaries are so fragile, they really are not :ROFLMAO:.
