Gathering interest for a dyno day shootout at an agreed location.

Time to put up or shut up. Talk is cheap and with Lockdown ending this summer it's an ideal time to start planning the annual dyno day shootout where owners can meet, have some friendly banter and go home with a printout.

In the past we have used Jamsport as the dyno is accurate and the operator is also a FD owner that knows how to properly load the cars and keep them happy on the dyno.

Accuracy has been verified by cars such as @Ceylon's then nearly stock 99-spec FD with only a cat-back and intake filters making 289hp, and by @JoeLanger Jaguar XKR rated at 510hp making 509.

However, the club is open to suggestions for a different venue but it should ideally be somewhere around here as that is a half way point for many Northern and Southern owners. It's not perfect but we'd love to get a good turnout of 15 or more.

I'll be there depending on location.

Do check out JM imports new place as its immense and perfect to talent spot some of amemiyas greatest.

Also the odd mcr gtr and possibly a Max Orido supra if rumour is right. He always has quality jdmness everywhere and is genuinely a great guy and rotary guy.

The issue is that it is way too far North for most people to go.

It depends what people class as North. I seem to be classed as North yet Jamsport is an hour closer than JM imports :ROFLMAO:

Yeah should be fine, providing I'm up and running with a sorted car by then. CBA if it ends up further north than Jamsport though.

Cool idea Roy, the last one was a great event.

If my FD isn't running by then and non-fd's are welcome I may bring the land barge. That's assuming the dyno can take 4wd, they're willing to adjust for the rediculous wheelbase and don't mind a bit of diesel smoke.... Should be in the region of 750ps & 1350nm :D.

If not I'll probably bring her up anyway and spectate, it'd be good to see a working FD again! Should motivate me to pull and split the keg in mine :D.

Sorry is this in Fall?

Should be keen but FD won't be running by then I don't think.

Id have to go Jamsport as im in surrey or somewhere halfway.i dont think i could do 6 hours to jm imports as much as id love to see the place.

I'm keen.

Depends on location though. I don't mind a drive, to a point. JM imports would be out of the question for us
