I've got a new oem thermostat to fit as I think my car either doesn't have one or it's stuck open as it struggles to get over 55* unless sitting in traffic for a long time.
I'm guessing that the black box is an aftermarket/homebrew ast. So how is the best way to bleed the system once I've changed the thermostats over?

Drain the system from the block drain plug (Bottom of the the centre iron, passenger side) and radiator drain plug.

Refill really slowly from the TB coolant pipe and the filler neck (Keeping the tb coolant pipe disconnected at the top of the tb until you see coolant, this is to let air out). If you fill it really slowly then you'll be done in one go with no top ups using this method (y).

A lot of people get quite excited changing the coolant in FD's and come up with all sorts of contraptions, personally I've never had any issues using the method above.

If you've welded up the tb coolant line on the rear iron so cannot use it as a fill/breathe point, just fill from the filler neck and you may need to run the engine and top up a couple of times to get the trapped air out.

Getting ready to do this this weekend, is this the correct tb coolant pipe you spoke of?
I also have ordered that filler pot to help refill
