Hi All

First of all apologies for creating another seats thread.

I am struggling to work out which seats are going to be best for me. I'm 6'3" and built more for comfort.

The stock seats leave me with my knees around my ears and head about half inch from the roof.

Any suggestions on the best seat for getting lower and further back.

Best bet before you consider any aftermarket seats is to modify the stock rails by drilling new holes that allow for you to push the seat back another 2 inches, and then consider putting a quick release or another form of spacer on the steering wheel. I'm 6'3" in shoes as well and had to do this. See the link in my build thread:

Also, I recline the seat ever so slightly to comfortably wear a helmet which actually does just fine because it compensates for the spacer bringing the wheel a bit close.

Unfortunately this car doesn't have a telescoping steering wheel or up/down adjustment in the seats but the improvements I suggested above made a huge difference and I haven't felt the need to splash on an aftermarket seat since.

That's great. Cheers buddy. I'll be trawling all over your build thread 😁😁

Unfortunately, I stopped updating it because the effort to copy and paste from the old site was too much effort. A lot is still on there.

I did the seat rail mod too. That extra couple of inch helps more then you'd think.

I also got a small steering wheel plenty of room now

Does anyone still have the info on what size holes I need to drill out the rivet etc. I've gone through with 9mm so far and its still not allowing the full range of movement. Worried about going too mad and losing structural integrity.
