Single turbos

I will have a turblown manifold, oil feed/return lines and downpipe for sale very shortly to fit the bw iwg8374 You would just need to add the turbo and a few water lines and fittings and you would be ready to rock. Awesome turbo and kit I made 454bhp at 1.16bar on stock ports with a conservative map.

To be fair i dont mind spending the money on a decent turbo/manifold but if i can get a secondhand kit for a bargain id be interested.

I was looking at a kkk k27 kit that was forsale not long ago but it sold too quick for me to offer on it.

Quick spool is a must though im not really chasing numbers just want a bit more power now 😊

For a quick spool your looking at a smaller turbo and being happy with around 400bhp. Alternatively you can go for the efr range and get the best of both worlds. The efr turbos get great spool and also a capable of big power.

My little turbo gets amazing spool and is super responsive but runs out of poof over 7k.

It’s not a case of it being no good. It’s more that I don’t believe it’s what he says it is. I might be talking complete crap but that manifold looks like the HKS cast version. If so, I don’t think those manifolds can take a t04z sized turbo. I tend to be sceptical of sellers who don’t know what it is that they have.

I’ve bolted a T04Z to that manifold, it’s fine. That turbo is definitely not a Z though.

I thought the Z was a BB T04R. I don’t think an R goes on that manifold in that space

Doesn't it depend on the supplier?? I thought the hks z was actually based the R but a z direct from garret was different to that??

Don't quote me I just remember reading about it years ago so probably wrong 😁😁😁

Sounds about right tbh. Either way I don’t think thats the turbonetics equivalent of a Garrett or HKS T04Z. I’m fairly sure both Garrett and HKS T04Zs were BB.

T04z by Garrett and hks are bb turbos I have one on my car 😍

Appreciate I’m late to the party here and that turbo kit looks to have sold but, to me that looks like a t04e, good for 400hp with supporting mods.

This might not happen now , as i was involved in a hit and run on the 22nd , a transit tipper hit myself into the side of the rx7 and dented the door with my kneecaps, my insurance company is trying to write the car off now for two small dents,

Cracked my pelvis and also alot of soft tissue damage.

Lucky i have cctv footage and found the guy and the van in question and its with the police now.

Thanks for all the help though guys and hopefully the insurers dont write it off .

Thanks
Tj

Buy it back off them for cheap with the claim money? If its only a dented door its a no brainer. They will only want ot write it off as its a import and you cant find off the shelve parts.

Sorry to hear that pal.

Ask for a cash in lieu offer for you to repair it yourself, tell them it's not a write off.

Here is a pic of the damage,
Two small dents and a minor scratch.

I did tell them its very minimal but u know what insureance companys are like .

Cars only done 30,000 miles will be such a shame to have a cat damage status on the car.

That's shit, sorry to hear that buddy.

The FD doors are so thin, if the paint isn't damaged a decent paintless dent removal place should be able to get them out?

If it needs paint the door isn't a good panel to damage as it'll need to be blended to the rear quarter, sill and wing. Still shouldn't be a write off with what FD's are worth these days!

I did tell them on the phone its a classic ect and she said cos of the age its not an economic repair, so for now im having it examined and if i dont want to go through with the claim i dont have to, but to me thats like the guy who did all this is just getting away with it.

Hard decisions really. I Just have to wait and see what they say .

I'd be tempted to get my own quote and present that to the insurance company as well! I've had worse than that pulled out for less than £100.

There is a scratch about a foot long down to the metal which cant be seen in the pic though too, so not sure if that can just be touched in ect

Don't let them write that off over that. Get some good pictures and get in touch with dent wizard. They will ask you to send some pictures over. Id be shocked if they couldn't get those out. I've seen them work wonders plus they come to you.

Get a 3 quotes for the repair, from decent body shops, send them to the insurance.

I would expext to pay £250-350 for the repair and blends. But i do get cheap rates.

Get your arse to a solicitor, the b@stard cant be allowed to get away with that, i wouldnt even go through the insurance as they will look to screw you, go though an independant solictor who will sue the basard and his insurance
