Hello

So, i'm looking to lift the front end of the RX as it keeps smashing in to the ground.
I thought it was the front lip hitting the floor, but i think its something underneath instead.

I see other peoples cars are as low or lower than mine. Whats the deal?

I can see a sign of wear on the cover that's over the wishbone arms joints. Could it be that?

I've never hit the splitter before but then my car isn't scraping the tarmac either. I would certainly be looking for other components hitting something

What suspension do you have. If it's bouncing around too miich it will hit the floor

My Bathurst coilovers were toast at a lower mileage than that. The bump stops had deteriorated, causing the wheel to hit the arch over bumps. That being said, your top mounts don't look OEM, have you checked to see what is fitted?

No but will very soon. This car scares me haha

Got a picture of your front bumper, arch gap and general ride height?

I shall take some more but I have these

So.... not a suspension expert, but looking at this, looks wrong to me. Why is the spring on maximum out?
Tell me what to do!!

Do you have the car jacked up? With the weight off the wheel it will fully droop. That's why any good coilover will have pre load setting.
Yeah I get that, I mean the adjustable bit doesn’t look right. Maybe I’m confused with shocks where you can stiffen the spring and adjust the height. These are height only I think.
I’m going to take them off and have a look
The rubber sleeve is in a million bits too

If you push down hard on the front arch with the car on the ground does the suspension bounce about or just rebound quickly and firmly to its original position? Its starting to look like your shocks could be buggered. I'm a fair bit lower than you and have never had the splitter hit the floor.
