Hi,
Working on the 7 yesterday whilst under the dash I noticed the accelerator has way more play in it compared to the other pedals. Actual front to back play in the cable is fine, the problem is the left and right, up and down movement. Probably about 5-10mm in each direction. It feels like the accel pedal box isnt connected to the wall very securely. I tried tightening the bolts in the cabin, but they are already cranked down tight. I looked for the other end of the bolts in the engine bay but couldnt see any from the top.
It looks like there is just play everywhere - the arm, the 'box', even the bolts seemed to move when I wiggled the pedal.
Has anyone got any idea what is going on or experienced similar issues? Should I just buy and try a new pedal?
