Replacement Tyres

Hey guys,

I need to replace all my tyres and have a staggered setup

Front 18x8.5 with 20mm spacers (current tyre 225/40/R18)
Rear 18x10 with 25mm spacers (current tyre 255/35/R18)

Rear arches slightly rolled

Tyres are Nankang NS-20's and the rear are somewhat stretched.

My question is can you great people recommend a good value all weather (no track use) for a few spirited drives.

Also the best fit (was thinking 265 on the rear)?
Maybe a bit more rubber on the front (could I stretch to 235)?

Sorry if I've put too much info in, just wanted to make sure everything was included 🙂

I currently have 285 35 18 good year eagle f1s fitted to the rear of my fd on a 10j no issues but i dont run spacer if this helps

eagle F1s have a more rounded sidewall too compared to say the PS4 which will help

Save some money and get yourself some Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 K120's - they are available in your sizes and I have to say they are the most underrated tyres for fast road cars. I've had them on FWD, RWD and AWD cars with way more torque than an FD and they are very good. Excellent dry and wet grip. Low road noise and decent lifespan.

The 255 is £109 each on Camskill
The 225 is £76.80 each on the same site.

Just make sure it's the revised tyre with the low road noise and A rated wet grip.

Good value is subjective, but Eagle F1 or Pilot Sport 4 are the go to for most people I think.
Ditto. I got the asymmetric 5 on my daily and they're very good. Ps4 also good choice

I'd also say a good shout on going for a 235 265. Just check on will they fit that you're not changing the overall diameter of the tyre too much with the profile

Nice one Joe, just checked on Will it fit and there's +8mm difference in diameter with going up in width.

Theres also AS 6 on Camskill is it worth looking at these (better fuel and noise) for a few pound extra?

Sorry @AndyD1969 for partially jumping your thread, I’m in a similar boat and can’t seem to make my mind up 😂 my new alloys are strangely square 9j +20 et 18” the tyres the previous owner ran were

235/40/18 fronts were a bit stretched not sure about it really prefer proper fitment
255/35/18

I’m looking at part show part track but will run different wheels on track I think.

Been looking at Goodyear f1s which have now released their new tyre the 6

I can’t decide whether to run
245/40/18 front
And 255/35/18 rear or whether that’s too close and might aswell just go with what the previous owner had or stick same tyres all around 😂
