Hey everyone thought I’d just introduce myself and give a little rundown of my FD and plans in the future with it.
So I recently bought the car around 2 months ago. All compression numbers just over 100psi and close on all faces. But then on the way home… apex seal decided to leave the chat
So long story short managed to get it done and made some phone calls and spoke to stu @ rotortorque and he said he could take the engine in around mid September and rebuild it. So then it was time for the engine to be removed(not a terrible thing as I wanted to tidy and paint the engine bay)
So took the engine out with just me and my dad on the driveway. Wasn’t too bad in the end. Dropped that off then thought well while that’s out and I’ve got some time I might aswell strip most of the car and do a complete respray(we’re in the motor trade so luckily won’t have any stupidly high bills or wait times to get it painted as we can do it in house)
So we got to stripping the rest of the car. Found some parts under the drivers seats that had been bodged by a previous owner unfortunately so it needs a little bit of cutting and welding but could always be worse!
Car was on stock twins still and also ODO wasn’t working. That’s since been fixed and converted to miles and MPH(Thank you Malcolm!)
Plans are to go large street/half bridge and single turbo, then in the future go to a Haltech or link as it’s currently on the outdated Apexi. Paint the car and engine bay in candy red to really make it stand out being a rocket bunny I think I can get away with that. Enjoy the pics of the strip down and I’ll keep you guys updated!
