I have been refurbing a set of MS-01s. Does any one happen to know the correct torque specs to apply to the bolts holding the centres to the barrels? Guess not much as they must only be M6-7 bolts...

I did it to 25Nm
I hand tightened all nuts in star pattern
Then did a star pattern of 10Nm
Then star pattern 25Nm.
I marked the done bolts with marker pen as it's easy to get lost
Then ran round doing 25Nm

Took fucking ages and I had 6 to do!
And they're M7 (y)

I've got some spare if you strip any, I stripped a few

Are they course or fine thread? I forget.. If course they should really only go to 17.5nm assuming they're 8.8 grade. If 10.9 then 25 is the max you'd want to go to.

Can I take you up on that?

All done now (nearly). Took ages! I didn't strip any, but typically had one fewer bolt and nut than I needed. It's possible that I never had a full set as I did buy the wheels with one disassembled and never counted them. Of course it's also possible that one pair went rogue while being transferred for cleaning.

Will drop you a PM now (y)
