Hi guys. Been a while.

Currently having an issue where my rx7 brake servo has shat it. Converted it to manual but it’s horrible. I’ve seen them manual brake with bias kits on eBay. Has anyone fitted and actually drove with one? How’s does it feel compared to servoed.

Cheers.

Also while I’m at it. I was considering using an rx8 one as they are slimmer however they are also wider and the clutch master isn’t too far away. Stock booster is 9” ish. Would get away with 10” but not much more.

I've not driven an Fd without a servo but the Sylva I built hasn't got one.
It took a lot of trial and error, cutting and re welding of the brake pedal to get the ratio high enough to provide the force necessary on the piston pivot.
I've seen these kits advertised and I'm sure, that without the correct pedal set up, they'll be a real test of thigh strength !
In addition to that, the Fd pedal will have been designed to take a maximum lb force from the pedal to the pivot.
Going to a non servo the lb force will increase, especially if the ratio is say 3 or 4 to 1 and you're trying to replicate the same braking as before.
The willwood type of bias kit that includes a pedal shows what ratio is usually needed, way up to 6 or 7 to 1 if I remember correctly. They're quite beefy pedals too.
I messaged the guy selling the kits on ebay ages ago asking a question or two but got no reply.
He must have sold a fair few but as you say there doesn't seem to be any feedback on them.

I'm running a wilwood pedal box mounted on a custom fab bracket. I have to say I would go back to the original, but I had to mod the firewall when I installed an omp pedal box (which split on me). I've had all sorts of different setups and currently I've just put remote vac assist in to the system and running with 1in masters (same setup as 929 master). I've also vac assisted the clutch too !

The biggest advantage of them is you don't melt master cylinders with the turbo. With the delete kit the seals in the masters just melted with the heat.

I'm running 355 up front with pagid pads and Type R rears. I need to spend some more time with the setup I have now before I can really comment.
