Heater panel repair

The heater temp colours are fading (pulling away) from the back of the heater panel, you can see yellow light bleed when interior is lit up.
I've never had one of these panels off, are you able to just change the back plastic strip that shows the blue to red colour or is it a complete panel change?

Yes you can change the plastic strip with the colours on.

don't suppose you know if the climate control and standard versions take the same 'strips'?

Fairly certain they are interchangeable yes.

Would have to be sourced second hand if you just want that bit, they come glued into the panel (Easy to remove, just a gentle pull and they come out), so from Mazda you'd have to buy a whole panel for around £150. Do you have climate control? If so, won't you want the numbers?

Yeah I would have thought the climate control one would be a lot different

No I have the standard panel, I have white dials so May go with the ones in the link, just thought the temp looks better than the blue and red
