Hi all.

Looking at fitting a Ryan Rotary oil metering pump kit.

1. Will it suit stock twin turbo? Is there enough room for the sand

2. Will it suit the 13b-REW motor??

Have a read here, https://www.rotaryaviation.com/store/p6/Oil_Metering_Pump_Adapters.html

It always seemed to making sure the tank had enough head height to guarantee supply (plus you will want a level alarm too)

Shaun

Hi Shaun,

I know about the rotary aviation pump, I'm just fed up of paying the import duty for US.

I personally like the idea of it, with a level sensor and regular maintenance I don't think it will be anymore of a hindrance that the stock item.

I was just making sure the one pictured is the right shape for a Twin 13BREW and would actually fit in the space available.

Cheers

Not sure if the Renesis and REW OMP bolt pattern is the same, have you emailed Ryan Rotary?

I don't understand why you need this. What's wrong with chucking it into the petrol tank?

Why would you have it squirted in via two little tiny holes? What if there's a blockage or a leak?

Amen. You don’t get full coverage of the housings/irons so end up premixing a bit anyway. Just add a bit more.
And don’t worry about decel as it creates a film.
One less thing to go wrong.

Seems like the popular opinion is to just premix. Is there a blanking plate available for the OMP?

Mine is leaking from around one of the banjo bolts anyway, so might just delete it and premix like a trooper.

Essex rotary do one. £25 delivered.
Get 2 x m10x1.5 bolts to block the housings. Cut them down to size

Do not cut bolts down to size for the injector holes. Buy proper length grub screws.

What’s wrong with a cut down bolt? Put a copper washer on it. Make sure they are a bit shorter than the oil injector thread.
Nobody can see it.

I thinks that's only because the bolt is bottoming out in that pic. If it's short enough shouldn't be a problem

You need a head on the bolt any way as it's a parrellel thread so needs a washer to seal. Should be no ptfe tape in sight!
