I broke it quickly...And repeatedly...Chaste White Rebuild

Please don't cut holes in your early spec front bumper, get some custom ducting instead. The oem bumpers are getting rare and the last thing you wanna do is cut holes in them and increase drag. That early spec oem bumper is meant to be more aerodynamic than the 99 spec one!!

yeah agreed, unless full on track car and you don’t give a monkeys then don’t bother, plus it looks shit!

awesome piece of kit that. I need those wheels in my life... any ideas what they are?

##Update##

Ignore - found them on the front page :)

Just need the end tanks fabricating and should fit nicely.

To be honest I’m not entirely sure regarding diff and box. It’ll just be something that I address if and when I need to. In my mind at least as the power is so linear and the fact the peak power is over 7000 I think that’ll help the drivetrain somewhat.

Also usually it’s torque that kills gearboxes etc and as we all know rotaries aren’t that torquey. I think peak torque was about 420lb ft around 7300rpm (from memory) but yes if it breaks I’ll sort it for something more suitable.

No I haven’t used any of the more advanced features of the ECU yet, I doubt I’ll need to use boost by gear with my setup.

I am impressed with the ECU though, it’s good value for money and plenty of features for my needs. Im actually getting my head around adding more sensors at the moment, seems easy enough. You can buy an expansion model for more inputs.

PC Link software is good, still learning but it’s intuitive and I have to say their tech support is superb.

Yeah, that is true, they're not monster torque engines, I haven't seen any your new power level, so was curious to see what would happen. I think the only way to go is sequential (which I've had before and on anything other a pure track car and is completely useless on the road) or a OS Giken or alike gearset, could be wrong though.

The Link looks good, did yours come through RotorTorque or yourself?

Yes I’ll just address gearbox issues as and when they arrive, this box is already a bit notchy and whiney.

Yes Rotortorque provided the Link ECU and loom.

I sorted the oil lines today and fitted the Turbosmart 40psi oil regulator.

As I’m running an Holset HX50 I need to bring down the oil pressure accurately rather than guessing using a traditional Inline 1.5 or 2mm oil feed restrictor.

Holset state no more than 40 psi and a minimum of 19mm ID oil return. My engine sees anything from 50-100psi depending on rpm/heat.

With this fitted I can now be pretty confident that I’m meeting their criteria. This should help stop any oil pushing through the seals and into my turbine housing and downpipe.

Now waiting for intercooler end tanks to be fabricated, likely going to be a few weeks.

New sensors will be completed next Monday and with any luck my carbon Seibon bonnet will turn up.

Just waiting on a spare filler neck so I can modify it correctly to accept my Turbosmart pressure regulator return, should arrive tomorrow.

I’m hoping it’ll reduce my smokey start ups and reduce the amount of oil it’s burning. I premix so I guess I need to accept some smoke.

I can quite obviously see unburnt oil in turbo exhaust house and the down pipe itself.

Love that bonnet, suits the car perfectly - saw one the other day where the dude had made an air intake that fitted the front air scoop, looked awesome. Where did you order it from?

Yes I’d like to do similar regarding air duct/intake for my air filter which is not in an ideal location.

I bought it from Seibon UK which is basically Amber Performance.

Knock sensor is now wired in as is EGT KMS box and sensors. Just need to configure in the Link software to check they are all working.

Well it’s not fitted permanently but I did a trial fitment today, I just need to muck about with the OE brackets slightly to make it fit.

Very pleased with it though, it looks good and certainly functional, the front middle vent sits perfectly over my air filter.
